If you are looking for spa Getaway
Lausanne, Switzerland
Travel
There are places you travel to explore.
And then there are places you go to reset.

For me, Lausanne is exactly that—a quiet, refined escape where everything slows down just enough for you to reconnect with yourself. This is my second time coming here, and this is exactly what you would want if you are looking for a 2-3-day spa escape.

Understated, elegant, and deeply calming.
If you’re looking for something high-end, your choice is clear—Beau-Rivage Palace.

The hotel opened on March 24, 1861. A historic 5-star hotel set right on the shores of Lake Geneva. The gardens, the lake views, the atmosphere, and high-quality service. Staying here feels like stepping into a slower, more refined rhythm.
The other option that I would recommend is Hotel Angleterre & Residence. Just a short walk from the lake, and next door from the Beau-Rivage Palace.

The property is made up of several historic buildings that reflect a classic Swiss lakeside charm. At the same time, it has recently undergone a renovation, meaning the rooms now feel fresh, modern, and quite elegant.

A perfect alternative if you want something elegant, but a little more relaxed, a little more intimate, and still very much connected to the atmosphere of Lausanne.

Where to stay
The SPA & Treatments
This was my first time at the Guerlain Spa—and I loved every detail of it.

If you are aiming for a spa getaway weekend, this will be a part of it. Located at the Beau-Rivage Palace Lausanne, if you stay at the hotel, amenities like the pool, steam room, sauna, ice-cave, and the gym will be included. Other treatments need to be booked.

Personally, I chose a deep, muscular massage. And what stood out immediately was the ritual itself. Before the treatment even began, the therapist introduced me to Guerlain’s signature fragrances, and before the massage, I had a few minutes of guided meditation. The combination of scent, focus, and presence made it feel more considered than a typical spa experience.

The spa offers a wide range of massages and treatments depending on your needs and preferences. If you’re planning a 2–3 day reset in Lausanne, this is the part that makes the difference.
Guerlain Spa Discoveries
At the Guerlain Spa, I had the chance to see an abundance of beauty, skincare, and perfume products that I would rarely see in other retail stores.

You discover pieces that feel a little more special; these are the two that stood out to me.

#1 Guerlain Beau-Rivage Palace Fragrance

Created exclusively for Beau-Rivage Palace. There’s something incredibly refined about it. It opens with a soft almond warmth, layered with orange blossom, and into a smooth vanilla base. On the skin, it feels slightly woody, and has a deep scent.

It is exclusive and rare to get your hands on. It's for you if you want to invest in a perfume you won't see on most people.

#2 Néroli Outrenoir Hair Mist by Guerlain
Link to the product

This one is a perfume is available internationally, but I specifically fell in love with the hair mist version.

It’s fresh, luminous, slightly green with a citrus edge. This scent made me feel "put together".

For the upcoming summer season, this is a great addition—something light, fresh, but still elevated. The kind of finishing touch that completes the look.

Where to eat
I’ll keep this simple and honest—I’m only recommending places I personally went to and genuinely enjoyed.

Beau-Rivage Palace Café — 10/10

Located inside Beau-Rivage Palace, this is one of those spots where you enjoy staying a bit longer, a great choice for dinner. The setting, the service, the food— elevated without feeling overdone.
Crêperie d’Ouchy — breakfast / lunch

A very easy, charming option by the lake. Ideal if you want something casual but still feel like you’re in Lausanne. Great for a simple breakfast or light lunch.
The Green Van Company Lausanne - Burgers maison — cheat meal, 10/10

If you’re in the mood for something more indulgent—this is it. Proper burgers, no compromise.
I hope this guide inspires you to take a moment for yourself—whether that’s in Lausanne or anywhere you feel most at ease. As always, this is my personal perspective, and I hope this came useful to you.
